Update - 9/25/15

Weekly update: 9/25/15

I'm sorry I've been so bad with updating. There isn't much “action” going on right now as it is a long waiting period. I will try and do my very best to be more consistent with updates!

How far along are we: 8 months and 18 days

What we are waiting for: Our LOA(Letter of Acceptance). We are on day 25 and it takes on average around 50 or so days. Sigh....

The next step: Once we get our LOA, then we fill out and send in our form for immigration approval for Zeke.

Things we did these last few weeks: We purchased a full size van. This is something we've been praying about for awhile but I never seemed to have peace about it until about 2 wks ago... We kept searching and looked at a few, but always left unsure about it. Then we found a super great deal, prayed about it, and made the purchase! The room is great!!! The kids can have friends come with us, Grandma's and Grandpa's can ride alone with us, it can tow our camper no problem. Overall, were happy with our purchase :)

Things we still need to do
-Buy a car seat for Zeke
-Make room for Zeke's clothes in the closet

Grant updates:
Praise: We received a $7000 grant from a grant called Show Hope. I couldn't believe it. I was hearing about how people were getting there letters of denial in the mail so I was expecting the same letter, but when Mia brought in the mail, I opened our letter and literally screamed!!! God provides!!! We are so thankful for this grant!

Prayer: We are so thankful for the grants we got, but this is also a prayer because we also received a denial letter from a grant that I thought would help us with the rest of our adoption expenses. And unfortunately it was our last grant to hear from. So, we still have a big lump of money to raise before getting our Zeke.

Matching Grant update: We have received $1290 in donations for our matching grant!!! THANK YOU!!!! We still need $1710 to reach our goal of $3000. If you would like to be a part of bringing Zeke home, the instructions are below:

PRAISE THE LORD!!! We received a matching grant from Lifesong for Orphans for $3,000! If we raise $3,000 they will match that and we will make $6,000 towards our adoption! If you could contribute anything at all - even if it's $5, it would go a long way and help us bring our son home!

Instructions for helping us bring our son home:
1. Go to
http://www.lifesongfororphans.org/give/donate/
2. Click, "Give to an Adoptive Family"
3. Type in your donation amount
4. Type in 5464 for Family account number
5. Type Rorabeck for Family name
6. Type in your personal information and submit
We appreciate your gift in helping us give this sweet little boy a home!!!!

Fun Stuff:
We got an update about Zeke! He is currently 19 lbs. He is 21 months old.
He usually sleeps through the night and if he doesn't, then he puts himself back to sleep by playing in his crib unless he is not feeling well, then he wants to be held. He takes a bottle with formula and rice in it.

Feelings:

Well, I am anxious lately! I see pictures of Zeke and I can't wait for the day he is in our arms. The wait is hard.
